Victoria-Gasteiz workshop
On March 26, 2010, the Spanish national POLIS workshop took place at the prestigious Europe Congress and Exposition Palace in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Around 20 representatives from the cities and municipalities of Bilbao, Madrid, Miranda de Ebro, Pamplona, San Sebastián and Vitoria-Gasteiz responded to the invitation to set up the POLIS competence group for Spain.
After four interesting presentations on best practices in the field of solar urban planning, a fruitful discussion followed during which subjects such as the (Spanish) PV market, PV promotion for industrial roofs, pros and cons for PV on historical buildings as well as administrative obstacles for solar thermal and PV projects were examined.
